Funding for Sports Halls

Applying for funding can be a daunting and complicated process and we aim to help you along the way.

Our long-term alliance with sports funding bodies such as Sport England (who distribute National Lottery funding) enables us to advise you clearly on the public funding available for your project.

We talk you through how to successfully apply for support, warn you of the pitfalls to be aware of, and we help you to weigh up the benefits of investing in that application compared to other means of financing your venture.

When it comes to approaching funding partners we would recommend the following:

1) Ensure a site is allocated
2) Get a realistic business plan written and in place
3) Include details of any existing funding

These key elements will demonstrate your project has already progressed, gained traction and established some credibility.

Funding Partners

Another aspect to be aware of is, that most funders will want to enhance your facility to meet their own requirements and agenda, which can increase the overall cost of the project.

We have experience in working with schools through Local Authorities and handling the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) including the new Sugar Tax funding. We have established a good understanding of the needs based system and how funding is allocated. We help you to pitch your application, including a proposal that contains drawings and a cost plan, so that you will have the best chance of being awarded successfully.

For larger projects such as Universities and Sports Arenas, the funding partnership can be quite a complicated arrangement of funding partners.

For example, at Leicester Arena, funding was supplied by: Leicester City Council, Sport England (National Lottery),Leicester College and the Local Enterprise Partnership.

Throughout these larger scale projects, we collaborate with the collective funding partnerships on your behalf by,

  • driving discussions forward
  • keeping all parties informed and up to date
  • maintaining standards and quality control
  • adhering to budgets
  • completing according to deadline.
